You would think when I woke up this morning and found my project was shattered in my kiln that I would of been totally disappointed but I wasn't, this is par for the course. I was trying a new idea I have and by making these mistakes I learn how to accomplish my goal. I knew I was firing a little too fast and not annealing long enough and it created stress in the glass and blew it apart, I needed the kiln for another project and thought I could squeeze two firings in the same day. The great thing about glass is you learn by trial and error and I feel when you don't make mistakes your not pushing the envelope, then your work all looks the same. In glass you learn a lot from mistakes and the great thing is you can reuse the glass, lets see what I can create with this mistake.
